AGM - NP2C New Plymouth Christian Church – Pastors Report 2021
This year has been an interesting one, with the Covid 19 scare and shutdowns it was a challenging time for all.
As a Church we handled all the challenges that came our way with ease.
Our Home Groups continued online, as small groups allotted to Home Group leaders teaching the Word online in Chat Groups. There were some technical issues, but most times we got them sorted. A learning time for all.
Sermons were recorded online on the website for viewing. This continues with Sundays Sermons recorded and advertised online through the Community and Brothers/Sisters Chat Groups and the Church Facebook page.
A Preaching Team has been set up and that is very successful, especially for our new Preachers.
We also have a prayer Chain which operates by my contact with them through online chat.
We also use Online Chat for Senior Leadership, Eldership, BOT, Music and Youth Groups. This gives us immediate communication. All new people coming into the Church are put into the Community Chat Group. This is a good thing as people sometimes leave and go to jobs outside Taranaki or back overseas they still have contact with us and remain a part of the Kingdom Family.
Looking forward, I feel that we will have Church growth over this year as we are well established and very strong in the Lord. The Church is made up of very strong faithful people who are passionate in what they do.
Our Home Groups are well attended and introduce the Congregation to good learning and understanding of the Bible, and what the Word is saying to us in the 21st century and also gives us good history. All this helps us to have strong roots in our Christian walk.
Thank you for all those that are involved with the organization of NP2C. The Church could not operate as it does without your cooperation.
I still find it such a privelage to serve you as your Senior Pastor.
Thank you all. Another year gone and we are now well into the new year. – Blessings
